Algoa FM and Port Elizabeth fans welcome double idols
Algoa FM was the media partner for the performance on The Boardwalk lakes which attracted over five thousand fans to fill The Boardwalk's retail precinct to overflowing, according to Boardwalk marketing manager Tanuja Gangabishun.
First on stage was Jason Hartman who - according to local newspaper reports - had several young girls “fainting with excitement” as he started singing.
Sasha-Lee took to the stage to the excited screams of the crowd, who showed that they “loved both idols equally. “Algoa FM was delighted to hear that there are 2 Idols and we look forward to great music from both of them,” according to Alfie Jay programme director of Algoa FM.
The two Idols took turns to perform, with Mama Mia and Spirit of the Great Heart getting the capacity crowd singing, clapping and dancing.
Fans sang along to the songs, and stood excitedly in long queues of young and old after the concert to get autographs pictures of their Idols. Pictures of the performance can be viewed on www.algoafm.co.za.
