Announcing the new presenter lineup, Kaya FM's programming manager Neil Johnson said, “Change is inevitable in the country's most contested radio market. We are in a process of building an on-air team with a depth of experience and skill. And with digital platforms transforming the way we communicate with our listeners and our listeners fast changing demographics, we believe that these on-air changes will add move value to one of Gauteng's fastest growing radio stations”.
The new Kaya FM DJ line up:
Portia Adams, Kaya FM presenter and traffic reporter on the Dube drive, will head up the newly formed Kaya Traffic department. Johnson says that traffic in Johannesburg is one of the most challenging aspects of living in the city.
“We are planning to look at traffic in a far more serious and integrated way. Simple traffic reports are just not good enough any longer! Traffic now day's is news! We need to be in constant and close contact with commuters, the Johannesburg and Gauteng roads agencies, the Gauteng Transport department, Metro rail, ACSA, Metro bus and all relevant traffic and transport stakeholders to get a clearer picture about developments that influence the way our listeners commute.
