94.7 moves RAW recruits to more prominent slots

Several young presenters, who joined 94.7 Highveld Stereo through recruitment drives such as RAW Recruit, have been given their own shows in more prominent time slots, while others have been moved to more regular slots in the latest changes to the weekday and weekend line-ups. "We are constantly on the look-out for new, young talent to nurture and grow on the station, and so have decided to shuffle things around to accommodate some of our rising stars," says 94.7 Highveld Stereo station manager, Ravi Naidoo.

Continues Naidoo, "We are very pleased to be able to offer Kate Kearney and Sebelelo Makoanyane longer slots, and to welcome Bongani onboard in his own slot each morning. Sammy T is also proving popular, so he now has his own three-hour show every Friday and Saturday night."

The main line-up changes are:

Newcomer Sorisha Naidoo moves into the 12 - 3pm slot.
From Monday 31 July 2006, the Rude Awakening's traffic presenter, Bongani Nxumalo, takes over the 5 - 6am slot Monday to Friday before the Rude Awakening. Bongani sets the tone for the breakfast show (where he continues to present traffic).
Kate Kearney, who previously presented the 5 - 6am slot Monday to Friday, moves onto the weekend line-up, hosting her own show from 2 - 6pm every Saturday and Sunday.
Sebelelo Makoanyane, who was hosting 10pm - 1am Monday to Friday, now presents 10pm - 1am from Sunday to Thursday, making way for Sammy T to present the 10pm - 1am slot on Friday and Saturday nights. This show features the latest remix hits of current hit songs.
Another new addition is Anele Mdoda, who joins 94.7 from Tuks FM. Anele co-hosts the Hot 30 from 7 - 10pm with Chris Jordan Monday to Friday.

The weekday overnight slot, from 1am - 5am Monday to Friday, will feature a selection of freelance presenters on a rotational basis. The 1am - 6am slot on Saturday and Sunday mornings will be reserved for trainee presenters.
