Werksmans appoints five new directors
Dewald van den Berg specialises in general and commercial litigation and has been made a director in the firm's Johannesburg office after joining Werksmans at the end of 2010. Brendan Olivier has also been promoted to director a little more than two years after joining the Cape Town office. He specialises in insolvency, corporate recovery and business rescue.
In the firm's Johannesburg commercial department, three director promotions have been made. Jared Nickig is highly qualified with four degrees, including a LLM from Harvard Law School, and specialises in mergers and acquisitions and general commercial law. Adam Pyzikowski focuses on mining related work, as well as private equity clients, the insurance industry and the pharmaceutical industry. Tahera Bata started her career with Werksmans five years ago as a senior associate in the property department and now specialises in property law.
