
Local musical to be screened at The Ridge
When a drifter, Dirk Pretorius, played by Bok van Blerk, arrives in town, new alliances are formed and love blossoms in the most unlikely quarters.
Produced by Philo Pieterse, who is well known for hits such as Lipstiek Dipstiek and Kringe in 'n Bos and written by multiple award-winner Deon Opperman and Sean Else - who also directed the film - Platteland boasts a stellar cast of well-know local singers.
A variety of local actors

Fans can meet cast member and local singing sensation, Bok van Blerk when he visits The Ridge Casino in Witbank, Mpumalanga on 26 November 2011 from 11.30am to 12.30pm. He will also be available for autograph signings in the Foodcourt area next to The Ridge Cinemas.
The first screening of "Platteland" will be held at The Ridge Cinemas on 12 November. "Platteland" is released by Indigenous Film Distribution and was filmed in Vrede and Verkykerskop in the Free State.
