- As for the Best Costume Design and Best Makeup and Hair, Phantom Thread and Darkest Hour won those two respectively.
- Best Documentary went to Icarus.
- Best Animated Short went to Dear Basketball.
- Best Foreign Language Film went to Chile’s A Fantastic Woman, beating flicks from Lebanon, Russia, Hungary and Sweden.
- Best Supporting Actor went to Sam Rockwell for his role in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
- Best Supporting Actress went to Allison Janney, for her role in I, Tonya.
- Gary Oldman won Best Actor for his role in the Darkest Hour. It’s his first Oscar from his second nomination.

- Guillermo del Toro won the Best Director Award for The Shape of Water. It’s his first Oscar.
- The Shape of Water also won the Best Score, Best Production Design and the smallest award on the night, Best Picture.
- Best Animated Film was awarded to the adorable Coco (and not Boss Baby). Pixar’s Coco also won Best Song for “Remember Me”.
- Best Adapted Screenplay was given to Call Me By Your Name (and not The Disaster Artist). It’s 89-year-old writer James Ivory became the oldest ever Oscar winner.
- And Best Original Screenplay was given to Jordan Peele’s Get Out, triumphantly beating The Big Sick, Lady Bird, The Shape of Water and Three Billboards. Peele’s now the first black writer to win an award in this category.
