Last call to enter Takamine event and RBF Challenge

The Tanz Café in Fourways, Joburg is calling for the last entries to the Takamine Acoustic guitar event and the RBF Challenge. Great prizes are to be won for the best acoustic guitarist and band, repectively.

There are two dates left for the year in the first round legs of the Takamine Acoustic guitar event taking place at Tanz on Tuesday, 16 and 23 November, 2010. The last semi-final takes place on 27 November and the final on Sunday, 12 December.

Each artist performs three songs on the night. At the finals the best performer wins a Takamine acoustic guitar worth R15 000 from Marshal Music and recording time.

All participants are also invited to a number of music workshops taking place early next year at no cost.

RBF Challenge

There is still room for a couple of bands on Saturday, November 27. The event starts just after 7pm and will finish by midnight.

The best bands on the night then progress to the final taking place at the beginning of December. At the final, one band wins 10 days recording time at Radio Broadcast Facilities at the SABC plus R40 000 worth of musical gear courtesy of Marshall Music.
