Gang of Instrumentals for Gold Reef City

The urban pop group's memorable appearance at the venue was one of the highlights at The Lyric last year, and this show promises to be even bigger and better. Expect to hear the band play many of its smash hits, such as Shake it, Oh Yeah and Woza December.

Gang of Instrumentals is a critically-acclaimed South African urban-pop group, founded in 2002. The Johannesburg-based group consists of Tumi “Lady Naturelle” Masemola, Mandla N- Pimville Spokesman, and “Bongo” Riot Zungu. Their innovative musical style is a mixture of hip hop, street rap, pop, soul, R&B, ragga, reggae and rock, with elements of kwaito and house.

This trio recently landed the coveted Best Urban Album at the South African Music Awards (SAMA) for 2009.
