Evolver releases their brand new single "Are we listening?"
The band has been hard at work in the studio finishing up the final touches of their new electric effort. The new single is a track that has been under construction over the last few months, and has a "Big Sound" that translates well on the dance floor. Over the last few studio sessions, Evolver decided to release "Are We Listening?" as the first single for a few reasons. According to Sean Murphy, (keyboards/vocals) " It has a great radio sound, with enough movement to reach the masses on the dance floor. We have been writing and creating some extensions of our music that are sure to excite our listeners and extend our boundaries".
"The new single is born from the question “are we listening in a world full of talkers?” says lead singer Peter Pote. “We need to learn to listen and understand, then talk to be understood. Knowledge speaks but wisdom listens” adds Pote. Evolver is planning to release the single this Friday, 31st July at the "New Single Release Party" at Rustic Theatre in Lonehill. The show will kickoff, what is sure to be, an exciting new chapter in Evolver's catalogue of radio hits. The band will be handing out free copies of this single to those who attend this show.
For those unable to attend, if you pre order their new album “Evolution” on www.wantitall.co.za, no matter where you live in South Africa, you can stand a chance of winning your very own Evolver House Party, where the band will perform in your living room with your choice of friends. Kendra Smit, the winner of the most recent Evolver/Millers house party had this to say “The adrenalin and the anticipation of their arrival almost got the better of me, and I almost fainted when they finally arrived! The atmosphere and the band were unbelievable and it was a once in a lifetime experience! I still can't believe it was for real. They are so down to earth and made me feel on top of the world. They felt like old friends in my lounge, and will be missed.”
Evolver has additional surprises planned for the new CD being released in September, to stay updated, keep your eyes glued onto www.evolver.co.za.
