Rock Out Radio will bring you bands that you've never heard of and REALLY do need to hear. You will find through Rock Out Radio that there is an amazing world of SA Rock with some seriously impressive talent. For years this talent only had a chance to be displayed on the stages of their local clubs and pubs as most commercial main stream radio stations have rejected most of the music bands have to offer simply claiming "It wont sell". Rock is not there to be sold, it there to be shared and enjoyed and experienced. It also there to be developed and revealed to the whole world. This is where Rock Out Radio comes in. Rock Out Radio is not one company's baby, ITS YOUR BABY AND MY BABY AND EVERY OTHER PERSON WHO HAS DREAMT OF THE DAY A ROCK DEDICATED STATION EXISTS.

Streaming

Rock Out Radio has successfully been streaming a 100% SA Rock playlist with a growing music library.

Facebook Frenzy

Rock Out Radio has somehow spread through Facebook like wildfire as ALL our marketing has been done through Facebook and our listenership grows every week. From the day we started until today the listeners have multiplied exponentially.

Studio Completed

Muhammad Ebrahim and Chilli Stephenson have completed the construction of the all new Rock Out Radio Studio which looks AMAZING. Thank you to both of them for doing an excellent job in such short space of time.
They truly are the heroes of Rock Out Radio. I'd like to personally thank the people from Paul Bothner Music for sponsoring the studio equipment. They have been very generous and have gone out of their way to make sure the needs of ROR Studio are met.

Festival and Initiative Involvement

Rock Out Radio has managed to become media partners with huge rock festivals such as F*ROCK, Seasons Wither 3, The SA Tour of THE ATARIS, UCT RAG Launch A Band and Haste the Day Tour of SA.

Involvement in Live Recordings and Special Gig Events

Rock Out Radio is willing to help out bands who are doing Live Recording gigs and other special events and need that extra exposure as well as that ROR ingredient in the event. Our presenters will come and ensure that your event is entertaining and special.

Countdown to Launch Day - 14 days and counting

On the 8th of May Rock Out Radio is going LIVE. That's right, the giant will come to life and presenters will be on air to keep you entertained!

The Launch partying starts at Mercury on the 8th of May with Hog Hoggidy Hog, Autopilot, Reburn an The Undefind gracing the stage and making sure that ROR is engraved into your skull. These bands FULLY support Rock Out Radio and are also featured on the radio station's playlist.

Murray Walker from Spin Magazine has been appointed as Rock Out Radio's website news editor. If you have news...send it to him. You want review?
Give him a ring! I am sure Murray will take the ROR News content and quality to higher levels. We'd like to formally welcome him.

New Rock Out Radio Website in pipeline

We're in the process of designing a new and much more improved ROR website filled with up to date news, photos, artists blogging, music videos, reviews and a really professional look. The ROR site will be the first site you look at in the morning when you arrive at work and the last site you look at before you leave work. Our content will be dynamic and plentiful.

Gauteng Launch

If the Cape Town Launch is successful we will confirm a launch date for the Gauteng Region. Gauteng really does have ALOT of rock fans and thus it would be a crime for ROR not to show face in Gauteng!

We are currently looking for bands and venues to support us and be part of this big launch.

Start a rock radio station is not easy. Even though many will claim that the Recession is a problem...it is..but in times of depression people want to be entertained and inspired. Look at the Great Depression and you''ll see the entertainment industry boomed because of escapism and because people wanted to be entertained and be happy.
