    Francois Van Coke, Springbok Nude Girls in 30-band Beefstock Fest lineup

    The first ever Beefstock Rock and Meat Festival will be held at the Bosheuvel Country Estate in Johannesburg from 23-25 November 2018. The lineup for the three-day festival comprises 30 of South Africa's top rock bands.

    The festival will be set on the Bosheuvel Country Estate in Nooitgedacht on the outskirts of Johannesburg. There will be a market area with two beer tents, a variety of food and drink stalls including lots of meat stands with meat that is farmed on the festival grounds. Beefstock is a cash-free festival, all festival goers must load cash onto a Howler card at the festival.

    Larnie Solomon, director of On Fire Events, commented: “The idea behind the Beefstock Festival came from the love of music. We wanted to create a relaxed space for all to enjoy a weekend with some of SA’s biggest names in the local music scene. We also wanted to make the public aware of the venue itself. Bosheuvel Country Estate has some of the finest meat available.”

    The full lineup includes The Black Cat Bones, Black Wind Howlin', The Color Blew, The Couch Ninjas, CrashCarBurn, Dirty Moonshine, Francois van Coke, Gert Koevert, Hellcats, Hard Drive, Jan Bloukaas Jasper Dan, Kinky Robot, LA Cobra, Lawless Gentlemen, Marcato, Midget Submarine, Martin Rocka and The Sick Shop, Mud puppy, No Regret, Out on Bail Rock Band, Rohan & Co, Southern Wild, Saarkie, Springbok Nude Girls, Tuin, Van Gray, WONDERboom, and You, Me and the Harmony.

    Performances will start at 10am each day, ending at 12am on Friday and Saturday night. Day pass visitors will only be allowed in until midnight. For weekend festival-goers music will continue until 2am on Friday and Saturday night. Entertainment will continue until 5pm on Sunday.

    Limited early bird tickets are available now at R300. Phase 2 goes on sale on the 1 October at R400 and Phase 3 will be available from the 1 November at R500. All tickets include camping for the weekend.Tickets are available at Howler.
