Bringing comedy firsts to the #ToyotaLive DRUMBeat

This year, for the first time, people can enjoy amazing comedians on the newly added comedy stage at the #ToyotaLive Drum Beat, taking place on the 26 August 2017 at its new venue, Carnival City Lawns and Sun Park in Ekurhuleni.

It’s the first time in seven years since the event has been established that comedy will be added, and this at no extra cost to concert goers. The comedy stage which forms part of the main entertainment area, will go live as soon as gates open, with a mix of open mic beginners and celebrity acts such as Ronnie Modimola, Kedibone Mulaudzi and Khanyisa Bunu.

In addition, the #ToyotaLive Drum Beat would like to take this opportunity to announce its media partners Kaya FM and MTV Base. Kaya FM has been part of the #ToyotaLive Drum Beat concert since 2012 and will be lending their support to the event.

All new concert instalment

“We at Kaya FM are delighted to be partnering with #ToyotaLive Drum Beat to present this year’s instalment of the concert, because music plays an integral part of who we are as a business. With our roots firmly planted in South Africa and the rest of the continent, our primary objective as a radio station is to support a wide variety of local music,” says Greg Maloka, managing director at Kaya FM.

MTV Base, the new TV partner for #ToyotaLive Drum Beat, will be co-support the event and will also broadcast a TV segment, showcasing the event highlights post the event.

“MTV Base is thrilled to collaborate with the #ToyotaLive DRUMBeat concert. The brand has such a rich history and legacy that resonates with South African audiences, which makes for a great partnership.
