The Flying Pickets return to SA
Popular British acapella band, The Flying Pickets return to South Africa for their third visit, this time to present "Christmas with the Flying Pickets" at the Grand Arena, GrandWest, Cape Town on Wednesday, 20 November 2013 and Carnival City's Big Top Arena, Johannesburg on Friday, 22 November 2013.
Brought to South Africa by Charl van Heyningen Enterprises, the concerts are an early Christmas "gift" to kick-off the 2013 festive season and promise to be a fun-filled evening of family entertainment. The repertoire includes various Christmas tunes as well as popular Flying Picket tracks Only You, Who's that Girl and Take My Breath Away. Although the band's line up has changed over the years, this band's unique style remains ever popular with on-going tours across Europe and abroad.
This may be their third visit to South Africa but it's a first time to Cape Town and Johannesburg. The group previously toured South Africa twice before: in 2006 as the KKNK main act where they had four sold out shows, filling 1200 seats at each performance and then again in 2009 in Pretoria and Bloemfontein, again a completely sold out tour.
"I am delighted to welcome them back to South Africa and to give Cape Town and Johannesburg the opportunity to experience acapella singing of such high calibre. It is such a feel good show, perfect for year-end. These guys are incredibly entertaining, and audiences are in for a real treat," says SA promoter, Charl van Heyningen.
Following on from concerts in Germany and Belgium, The Flying Pickets will be in Cape Town and Johannesburg for two concerts only.
