Avis new sponsor for 2013 Cape Argus
The 2013 Cape Argus Pick 'n Pay Cycle Tour has a new official car rental partner, Avis Rent a Car Southern Africa. It will be providing sponsored vehicles both during the build-up and during the event itself, which will include three lead vehicles.
The sponsorship will include 15 dedicated staff members, who will be available on the day to assist in managing a key water point for the cyclists - a great team building exercise for Cape Town staff, who will be assisting to keep 35 000 riders well hydrated.
The company will be entering 30 cyclists into this year's race.
"We are proud to be involved in this year's event and we will be supporting all those involved and taking part, from pedal to medal," concludes Keith Rankin, chief executive of Avis.
