A decadent slice of Vegas

What happens in Vegas clearly doesn't always stay in Vegas. At least so I have been told. I found out for myself, however, when I was invited to the opening of Diamonds & Diva's at Roxy's Revenue Bar, Grand West Casino. A decadent slice of Vegas has made its way to our shores.
A decadent slice of Vegas

Diamonds & Diva's promised to be a rich evening of singing, dancing and a spectacle of eye candy - and it delivered all that and more. Consisting of seven dancers (five female, two male), the show also had the vocal talents of Ann-Marie Clullow and her partner. To introduce the show, as well as interim entertainment, illusionist Colin Underwood enthralled the audience by involving them in his acts, as well as his hilarious antics with audience members before and during the intermission.

A fast-paced, non-stop show

Beautifully built and lit stage sets gave way to a fast-paced and literally non-stop show. Dances and singing performances flowed from one to the next, never missing a beat. Taking us through many genres of dance, from salsa, cabaret, ballet and hip-hop, the choreography and perfection of their execution came through strongly. This combined with the always flashy costumes for all performers kept the audience spellbound.

Diamonds & Diva's is certainly not something to be missed if one enjoys dance arts and live musical entertainment. For an evening of relaxed entertainment after a dinner at Grand West, Diamonds & Diva's will be the crowning jewel of your evening.

Parental discretion is advised due to the somewhat adult nature of cabaret shows.

Diamonds & Diva's runs till Saturday 17 July ( Wednesday through to Saturday) at the Roxy Revue Bar, GrandWest. Doors open at 20h00 and the curtain rises at 20h30. Tickets cost R67 from Computicket [083 915 8000 or www.computicket.co.za.
