Fun with a glittering capital F

Dragging 30 is a fabulous fresh burst of energy for theatre goers at the new Kalk Bay Theatre, where women are women, and men frock up.

This delightful bouquet musical from the mind of Genna Galloway is a wonderful journey into the life of a woman who wakes up to "that peculiar day when you realise that you've reached the 'Big Three, and 'Oh My God how did I get here?' .... Dirty 30's, Thirty Something... something brilliant was supposed to have happened to me by now, but 'Thirty is the new 20', just with more botox and better bras."

It's one of those times in any woman's life that sneaks up unexpectadly, leaving them with a sudden moment of horror. "You're officially an adult. And if you're single, unsettled and childless, 30 appears to be even more terrifying."

This engaging coming of age musical comedy takes you on a journey through the eyes of two women, trying to come to terms with life's third decade, whilst learning to love themselves and embrace their thirties.

Galloway teams up with Natasha van der Merwe and the gorgeous devilish duo are most definitely South Africa's super-hot sizzling 'Ab-Fab' girls, offering a wonderful dose of humour, hilarious escapades and some powerhouse singing.

Although they say that behind every great man there's a powerful woman, in this case there's a fabulous man in glittery drag who shows the girls what it's like to 'pump those heels' and get dolled up for an evening of relentless fun!

Alain Fleischmann is equally dazzling as the fabulous Drag Queen Extraordinaire, Cadenza Jones, who shows his girlfriends that there is truly nothing more liberating than being yourself, living in the moment and owning your "fierce" at any age.

The New Kalk Bay theatre is ideal for these intimate bouquet musicals and allows the audience to blend in with the action and totally 'feel the vibe'!
