Comair adds additional flight on Durban/Cape Town route
Comair Limited, operator of British Airways in South Africa and kulula.com, has announced an additional British Airways return flight on the popular Durban/Cape Town/Durban route.
British Airways is currently the only premium airline operating on this route following the cancellation of SAA flights in October to focus on the more profitable African routes.
The additional BA flight is scheduled once a day from Monday to Friday, adding to the existing schedule of three returns flights per day, Monday to Friday, and one return flight on Saturday and Sunday.
"Demand on this route has grown substantially," says Heidi Brauer, executive manager for group marketing. "The new schedule is effective 15 December 2010 - just in time for peak holiday season," she says.
The additional flight from Durban to Cape Town departs at 10:45, arriving at 12:55, and the Cape Town to Durban flight departs 13:30, arriving at 15:25, Mondays to Fridays.
The airfares for these flights range from R803 for Traveller (economy class) and R2835 for Club (business class). Airfares quoted reflect one way only, all taxed included.
