Radisson's Park Inn goes to MBP

Marcus Brewster Publicity has been appointed by Park Inn by Radisson, one of the hospitality brands from the Rezidor Hotel Group, to launch its first South African property in Sandton.

"This is the brand we see the most growth within South Africa in the future, as Rezidor believes there is space in the local market for an international mid-market brand like Park Inn by Radisson," said Andrew McLachlan, vice-president of Business Development for Africa & the Indian Ocean Islands. "We create an affordable hotel experience that's warm and casual, spotlessly clean, easy to use, safe and fun. But above all else, it's Park Inn's aim to provide quite simply 'the best sleep in town' that really makes them stand out from the crowd."

Third property

The flagship 273-room Park Inn Sandton is the third Rezidor property to operate in the business hub of Sandton, after the opening of the 216-room Radisson Blu Gautrain opposite the Gautrain Station earlier this month.

McLachlan expects to announce another three Park Inn by Radisson hotels before the end of 2010 within South Africa and will also develop Park Inn by Radisson in neighbouring countries and key cities in East Africa and Nigeria.
