The International Travelguide launches in South Africa
The founders of The International TravelGuide South Africa 2009 - 2011 edition, along with a team of more than 20 photographers, authors and editors launched a 520-page guide about South Africa to the public and industry, at the 5-star Hout Bay Manor, Cape Town, on 15 June 2009.
The guide, which retails for R250 (incl VAT), reveals a vivid and contemporary image of South Africa today. The content is designed to be insightful, definitive and opinionated in order to afford local and international travellers a truly concise overview of not only destinations but the true essence of South Africa. An exclusive selection of the top locations, routes and attractions, plus the very best South Africa has to offer in: urban, cultural, sport, accommodation, restaurants, arts/crafts, banks, shopping, wellness, tours and transport.
Project manager and designer, Lutz Manzelmann comments, “We wanted to offer not only a comprehensive guide that takes travelling to a whole new level but also show the flavour and essence in this amazing country in the hope that it would be more valuable to the readers in fully understanding the cultures we are proud to share. Be informed, be inspired. It is about the new South Africa!”
The first edition is in English and German, and co-editions in French, Italian and Spanish and Portuguese are to follow, therefore affording complete convenience to international visitors.
The book is 230x130mm and comes in a special presentation box.
The guide positively promotes the new South Africa, what you can explore and sense when you visit. It is about the confidence and diversity of the country and about a modern approach to providing travellers with an information tool that is practical, yet stimulating. It reflects personal choice and a large selection of the best South Africa has to offer - a guide to find your way into a world that will become a part of you.
