Which type of Afriski Winterfest attendee are you?
The snow-centric
What music festival? This person is here for one thing and one thing only. They arrived with their personal snow gear, and it’s snow for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You’ll find them on the slopes sharing wisdom to first-timers or enjoying the tunes as they head up the ski lift.
Favourite stage: Cooler box
Favourite band/artist: DJ Mocheques and Half n Half
The finer things
Seen enjoying the evening acoustic sets at the Sky Bar, while sipping some Gluhwein and Grappa before driving up to their mountaintop chalet in their SUV. Always dressed in the best puffy down jacket and shielding their eyes from the snow in the trendiest shades.
Favourite stage: The unplugged stage
Favourite band/artist: Jerry & the Bandits
The biggest fan
The person who loved the bands so much, they followed them up to 3,222m. You’ll find them in the front row of the main stage (and maybe backstage too) dancing and singing along to all the top hits and taking selfies with their favourite artists.
Favourite stage: Main stage
Favourite band/artist: Goodluck – obviously
Did-not-get-the-memo
That person who wears short shorts and sandals during winter. This is the person who is attempting to take on the snow in Lesotho with nothing more than a couple of pairs of sweatpants and one jersey in their suitcase. You’re angry because even though you’ve done your part to keep as warm as possible, just looking at this person is making you cold.
Favourite stage: Gondola Café
Favourite band/artist: DJ Skye
The infamous
This person! Everybody knows them and we’re all happier when he or she's around. Surrounded by a cloud of sheer reckless energy we’re never sure where they’re going to next. Seen dancing naked on the bar, they are the first to volunteer for a tattoo from the Sally Mustang pop-up shop and they’re the person everyone sends a friend request to after it’s all said and done.
Favourite stage: Where the biggest crowd is
Favourite band/artist: All of them!
