According to a spokesperson for the organisers, Gabriel Ramokotjo, “The ticket sales have exceeded the capacity of the original venue. Therefore, in the interests of visitor comfort, we have decided to postpone the event to spring once we have secured a bigger venue.”

“It is hugely important to us that Soweto experiences a world-class event. After years of neglect, Sowetans deserve the very best, whether it’s access to services or sexpos,” explained Ramokotjo.
The new spring date selected for the 2018 event promises to deliver the best experience to expo attendees. Admission tickets should be kept for later use and attendees should keep an eye out for further updates across the news media and on the Sexpo’s social media platforms.
The organisers have apologised for any inconvenience the date change may have caused. The organisers also indicated that refunds may be requested, should the date change make it impossible for some visitors to attend.
