Bonanza for Soccer fans- R200 000 up for grabs

Avid soccer fans are expected to reap the rewards of their loyalty when the Golden Vuvuzela Awards are launched later this year.

Initially, fans of six clubs were meant to share a cash prize of R100 000.00 this season but, due to unforeseen circumstances, this will be rolled over to the next season.

PSL, Chief Executive Officer, Kjetil Siem, says there are a few technicalities that need to be finalised. However, he is confident that fans will be duly rewarded.

“The marketing departments for both Absa and the PSL have worked tirelessly to develop the right super supporters' concept, and Absa has agreed that the supporters' award will be launched next season.”

Absa's Group Executive of Marketing, Mohale Ralebitso, urged fans not to lose hope and continue supporting the Absa Premiership.
“Although there will be no award this season, fans should take comfort in the fact that the R100 000.00 will be rolled over into a huge Golden Vuvuzela Award of R200 000.00 next season,” Ralebitso confirmed.

Absa and the League will release more details about the process around these awards in the near future.
