FIFA Interactive World Cup 2009 comes to Johannesburg

In the search for the FIFA Interactive World Player 2009, FIFA, EA SPORTS and PlayStation bring the FIFA Interactive World Cup Live Qualifier to Johannesburg.

In addition to watching the live gaming action, competitors and spectators will be able to sample some of EA's latest games on PlayStation platforms, mingle with local football players and test their real-life football skills.

WHY: The FIFA Interactive World Cup 2009 challenges thousands of football fans and gamers from across the world to take part in the online qualification or one of the 19 Live Qualifying tournaments to compete for the title of FIFA Interactive World Player 2009.

The challengers will battle it out on EA SPORTS FIFA 09 on PLAYSTATION®3, to win one of the 32 all expenses paid trips to the FIFA Interactive World Cup Grand Final.

The Grand Final winner will be named FIFA Interactive World Player 2009 and will receive US$20 000 prize money plus a brand new KIA ‘Soul'. The FIWC Champion will also join the world's elite football talent at the FIFA World Player Gala in January 2010.
