Summer menu at The Grand Cafe
As summer beckons, the Grand presents a new luncheon menu as well as “Grand Supper Club” Wednesdays and Fridays.
On the summer lunch menu you'll find the Grand low-carb seared beefburger, hake and prawn fish cakes, gourmet sardines on toast, a basil, tomato and fresh buffalo mozzarella linguine, as well as classics such as veal schnitzel, waldorf salad and linguine bolognaise.
Afterwards there's The Grand's signature pavlova and fresh berries dessert.
Aperitivo Fridays
The Grand will also be holding “Aperitivo Fridays” with tapas-style aperitifs on the house to go with sundowners (5pm to 7pm) as well as the Grand Supper Club with jazz on Wednesday and Friday evenings.
Apart from the Bermuda-style wooden window shutters and pink exteriors, inside the restaurant is filled with memorabilia reflecting both memories and future adventures, from light mauve walls to 1930s-style furniture, cool wooden floors, teak cabinets and tables dressed in smart, starched white cloths, overhung by chandeliers.

In the kitchen, meanwhile, the café-style menu is both retro and immediately contemporary, from avocado ritz and caesar salad to delicately grilled or fried calamari, a gourmet crayfish sandwich, authentic bouillabaisse and mussels and frites. A wine list includes French champagne at most attractive prices.
