Union Bar pops up longer with your gin fix

For those not in the know, The Union Bar pops up in different guises every couple of months, combining their unique style with the latest mixology expertise to bring you a venue and experience unlike any other.

This time around, Hendrick's Gin has taken centre stage in a warehouse on the corner of Oxford Road and Chaplin Street in Illovo, Johannesburg. Known as the Gin made Oddly, Hendrick's is an unusually peculiar gin, made unnecessarily well, with hints of juniper, rose and cucumber.

In keeping with the Hendrick's style, the pop-up bar features neo-Victorian, steampunk-ish, selfie-worthy décor that will delight and sometimes even confuse its clientele.

Together with an outlandish cocktail menu specifically designed by four of South Africa's top mixologists and one international superstar all the way from Hong Kong, you can toast the night away - Wednesday through Saturday nights.
