Orphans party with Miss World 2008 contestants

Children from four orphanages in Soweto and Alexandra were present at the party. The children also had the opportunity to meet some of the world's most beautiful women, with many of the contestants taking time out to meet with and chat to the children.

The children were also entertained by the Zoo's resident clown as well as a number of entertainers dressed up in animal costumes. On arrival, Southern Sun provided each child with a t-shirt and a cap and after the official proceedings and the switching on of the lights, each child received a goodie bag filled with treats for the road home.
