Melony Boucher, PICA project manager, says, "I'm in awe of the standard of excellence that's been set by the entries we've already received and grateful not to be a judge, as the task that lies before them is going to be huge. In order to allow for all the work released by the industry to be showcased and honoured, we've decided that we'll give some more time to those who feel they wouldn't have been able to meet our original cut-off date."
The awards are open to magazines that operate in the consumer, customer or business-to-business arenas and their related platforms. The PICA Awards recognise the interdependence of the various media channels, which magazine publishers use to understand, engage and inspire their audiences.
For the first time, the event will include non-MPASA members in order to keep abreast of the ever-evolving media landscape. Secondly, a new category has been introduced - Youth market: children's magazines and teens' magazines.
To enter go to www.mpasa.org.za and click on the PICA 2013 banner.
