Top government women get honours

Government's top women leaders and managers will finally get the recognition they deserve with the launch of the Outstanding Women in the Public Sector & State Owned Enterprises Awards, by International Quality and Productivity Centre (IQPC).

This is the first initiative aimed at honoring excellence and celebrating the achievements of top women leaders within the Public Sector and State Owned Enterprises. The ceremony will take place on 20 April 2005 at the Sandton Convention Centre and will form part of IQPC's Annual Management and Leadership Development for Women in the Public Sector and State Owned Enterprises conference which runs from 18 - 21 April 2005.

Dr Namane Magau, President of the Business Women's Association, who has been one of the key speakers at previous Management and Leadership Development conferences, will also MC the Awards Ceremony on the 20 April 2005.

The IQPC Management and Leadership Development conference and the awards are both endorsed by the Business Women's Association.

All members of the public sector are invited to nominate the women they think deserve to be recognized for excellence either as leaders or role models. Visit www.iqpc.co.za and nominate online.
