Andries Vrey to lead Aardklop

Vrey worked as digital editor of Rapport and co-ordinated Media24's internal digital communication strategy, he is currently general manager: Afrikaans and niche products at DStv Online.

His appointment is seen as the first step in the board of directors' new strategy for the festival. Prof Annette Combrink, chair of the Aardklop board, said, “Andries will be the driving force to lead the festival. He has all the qualities needed to steer the festival, with the assistance of an enthusiastic management team and active board, to the next level.”

Aardklop 2010 takes place from 28 September to 2 October in Potchefstroom.
