Bilateral opportunities at first US Week in SA
To promote US-South Africa bilateral relations, promote SA as a tourist destination and a place to invest and do business in and to celebrate the two countries' culture, arts, music, fashion and cuisine, the first annual USA Week in SA will be held 2-11 April 2010* in Gauteng.
Organised by Kennedy Khabo, organiser and founder of the Annual South Africa Week in the US, the event includes a business forum, a symposium on art and entertainment, media, politics and education; music concerts, gala dinner and a themed reception hosted by South Africans who studied and lived in the US.
“This event offers an ideal platform for South Africans and Americans to reengage each other; strengthen their historic relationships and realign people-to-people partnerships. The timing could not be any better or most opportune with the new Zuma and Obama administrations, and South Africa on the eve of hosting the biggest world sporting event: 2010 Soccer World Cup for Africa,” Khabo said.
