Designer event company probes new heights with freestyle tents

A breakthrough in the design and construction of the tent poles for its freestyle Bedouin tents, has dramatically strengthened the venue offering of designer entertainment company Loudfire, giving it a competitive edge over its outside venue and marquee tent competitors.
Designer event company probes new heights with freestyle tents

The new King Poles have extended the potential height of freestyle tents from a previous maximum of 6m to the new height of 10m and higher, and in the process have broken the magical width that these tents were previously confined to for safety reasons. In plain terms, Loudfire can now offer its clients designer venues of 100 x 35 x 10m, which translates into a potential area of 3500m2 unstretched and over 4000 m2 stretched. Viewed in perspective, that is as long as a rugby field and half as wide, and if you accommodated guests for a seated dinner, you would have room for 2500 guests.

CEO of Loudfire, Bruce van Halderen comments on the importance of this breakthrough: “This dramatic increase in the pole and therefore tent height, is significant not only because of the incredibly large area we can now put under cover, but also for the height in itself. So, whereas previously we were limited to staging of around half a metre in height, we can now erect full concert-style stages and massive architectural sets beneath our freestyle tents.

“This greatly enhances our product offering to clients and enables us to extend our promise of ‘designer entertaining for your brand’ to include concerts, award ceremonies, theatre productions and more. It’s a very exciting development and heralds an entirely new era for Loudfire in respect of the size and nature of events we can now undertake, under our freestyle structures.”

The King Poles each weigh in at 670kg, including their massive, yet elegantly flat high tensile steel bases. A Loudfire innovation, the King Poles are also available for purchase with tents, through Tentra, Africa’s leading developer and manufacturer of freestyle tents. Well known for its extensive research and development into the design, construction and manufacture of freestyle tents, Tentra also manufactures the continent’s, and probably the world’s, only 100% waterproof freestyle tents, legally. Unsurprisingly, the company’s many patents and functional design applications are frequently the target of intellectual property thieves, both locally and abroad.
