Red dot awards - BMW takes six
The red dot awards, made recently in Munich, Germany, are considered by many aficionados to be one of the most important awards in the world for product design, have been awarded to designs from the BMW Group.
The Rolls-Royce Ghost won “red dot: best of the best” award for the very highest level of design quality in the category Automobiles, Transport and Caravans.
The BMW 5 Series Sedan, BMW X1 and BMW motorcycle F 800 R won red dot awards and there were two honourable mentions for the BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo and BMW motorcycle S 1000 RR.
The awards will be presented at a gala event at the Aalto Theatre in Essen, Germany on 5 July 2010.
