The competition is part of a 12-part series in Marie Claire magazine to help entrepreneurs turn their dreams into profit. Each month a different topic is covered ranging from writing a business plan to financing and managing cash flow.
The winner will receive R100 000 in cash, deposited in a Standard Bank account and five finalists will each receive R5 000.
Entrants need to write a motivation of 650 words, outlining a great business idea and following these questions: What is your idea? What service or product will you provide and what need does it fulfil? Who are the potential customers for your product or service and why would they purchase it from you? How will you reach your potential customers? Where will you obtain the financial resources to start your business?
