Media24 female titles increase circulation

Media24 Women's Magazines is thrilled to announce that all three of its monthly titles (Sarie, Fairlady and True Love) have shown an increase in circulation, confirmed by the ABC figures for January to June 2005. Despite new magazines entering the market and competitors relying on marketing ploys such as cover mounts to boost circulation, Fairlady, Sarie and True Love continue to hold their status as the best-selling women's titles in South Africa.

Sarie maintains its number one position and dominance over all the English-language competitors in the aggressive women's magazine market. The bridal brand extensions, Fairlady Bride, Sarie Bruid and True Love Bride, also reflected an increase in circulation in the annual ABCs.

"The audited figures reveal that nothing can dent each title's reader loyalty," says publisher MarĂ Lategan. "By constantly delivering a superior product with award-winning journalism supported by strategic promotions, innovative advertising solutions and comprehensive merchandising, we are confident that we will continue to see the rise of readers and advertisers."

Media24 Women's Magazines will soon launch a new monthly Afrikaans glossy title, Lééf - met hart & siel. It will be an attractive addition to the stable with a focus and target market clearly different from those of the existing titles. It is sure to attract new readers and offer a desirable new advertising environment. Quarterly consumer title, SHOP! is another recent addition to the division that presents advertising opportunities never before seen in print in this country.
