Men's Health launches home advice for men

Men's Health is launching MH Living, a new decor supplement, free with the June issue of the magazine, targeting men who want to make the most of their homes. The supplement is edited by Men's Health creative director Piers Buckle who recently scooped a Mondi Award in the Visual Impact category.

Buckle says: "MH Living is not just another decor magazine; it's about our readers taking true ownership of the space in which they exist. With the global shift to downsizing, readers are motivated more than ever to make their spaces efficient, functional and comfortable."

The 80-page supplement's practical information focuses on building, renovation, decoration and entertainment. Living spaces have become a reflection of individuality and limited choices - "standard" fittings are old news. From guy advice on hardware to property trends and design ideas, MH Living aims to educate men about their homes and the spaces they occupy.

Publisher Andrew Sneddon says: "There are a few really good decor magazines in the market but they all target females - if you're a guy interested in property, renovating a home/office, DIY, decor and anything to do with building you're pretty much stranded.

"MH Living talks to readers who have in the past struggled to find relevant, practical help on these subjects. We speak to our readers in a friendly, service-orientated form of journalism that they've become accustomed to in Men's Health."

120 000 copies of this issue will be printed and will be polybagged with the June issue of Men's Health. This will then be followed with a stand alone edition in January 2006 and, depending on the demand for the publication, it could be published bi-monthly.
