Media24 women's magazines lead the glossy market
Sarie has again emerged as the number one women's magazine in the country. The ABCs released Monday confirm Sarie's dominance over the many other English and Afrikaans women's titles - ABC's for the period July to December 2004 reveal a circulation of 137 970, up from the previous circulation of 136 953 for the period Jan to June 2004.
"Sarie continues to defy the volatile nature of the cluttered magazine market and has maintained the number one position for nearly three years," says publisher Mari Lategan.
Securely placed in the top 10 according to the July - December 2004 ABC's is True Love with an audited circulation of 114 793 and Fairlady with a circulation of 88 123.
"The combined efforts of editorial, advertising, marketing and merchandising have ensured the three titles position as market leaders," adds Lategan. "We are confidant that Media24 women's magazines will continue to out-perform the many other titles on the market."
