Creative living revamps from Media24

Media24's Magazine Service Division, which publishes Woman's Value, dit and Tuis, has been rebranded as Creative Living Magazines. Explains editorial director Terena le Roux, "The magazines within the division have become synonymous with providing readers with a toolbox of creative, inspirational and affordable lifestyle solutions and our name needs to reflect this.

"Over the past four years the division has grown from strength to strength with a long list of accolades to its credit. We have successfully launched dit, published a wonderful cookbook, No-fuss Food and offered our advertisers the dream house competition as an alternative way of showcasing their products. In 2004, arising out of this project we launched both a book, Complete Home Makeover and Tuis - the baby in our magazine stable, which is now the second largest décor magazine in South Africa," adds Le Roux.

Another addition to the new-look division is Elsa Carpenter-Frank, who has been appointed as business manager for Creative Living Magazines. Carpenter-Frank brings a wealth of experience to her new position, having spent 11 years with Berry Bush BBDO, eight as media director. She was also the chairperson for AMASA Cape from 2000 to 2002 and deputy chair of the former Media Directors Circle (Cape).

"We are extremely pleased to have Elsa on board at such an exciting stage of the division's development," says Le Roux. Creative Living Magazines conducted extensive research at the end of 2004 and as a result, Woman's Value and dit magazines will be completely revamped over the next three months announces Le Roux. "As part of a renewed focus on the editorial growth of our titles, the division is now more than ever equipped to inspire both our readers and advertisers to be creative in their lives, whether it is in their homes with their families, at work or at play."
