Young and old, print survives

This spring month sees the Jet Club magazine reinvent itself with a fresh look, while the Hotel & Restaurant magazine, celebrating its diamond jubilee at 75 years, still competes in a modern world.

The Jet Club magazine, reportedly the most read publication in the country, has five main sections - Your Life, Your Family, Your Savings, Your Style and Big Wins - each with relevant and interesting content and from a design point of view, identified by a specific colour and it has more in-depth fashion advice. The membership feature has been seamlessly integrated with editorial content to provide readers with a practical guide on how to make the most of their membership benefits.

The Hotel & Restaurant's technological efforts saw a versatile, interactive website go live last year, followed by the introduction of a jobs portal, digital editions of the magazine and weekly web-letters and corporate mailers distributed on behalf of advertisers, while its profile was raised when two years ago, it became the media partner for the annual trade expo Hostex.

"We are constantly looking for innovation, creativity and new touch points for our advertisers to get their message out and give readers new ways to access information. This is what has always held us as the most read and respected publication in the industry and remains our objective as we celebrate this milestone," commented publisher Bradley Kantor. "Our goal remains to secure greater reader loyalty by providing a range of platforms on which our readers can digest the brand."
