Singita glory at world's most comprehensive travel poll

Singita Private Game Reserve, South Africa's celebrated safari destination, has been crowned 'Best in the World', in the international Travel and Leisure Magazine's 2004 World's Best Awards. Singita took top honours in three categories: World's Best Hotels, Top Small Hotels and Best Hotel in Africa and the Middle East.

This is the third major international travel poll to crown Singita No 1 in the world, following similar acclaim from Conde Nast Traveler (USA) and the Andrew Harper's Hideaway Report.

Based in the USA, Travel and Leisure is the world's largest circulation travel magazine and this year's results were based on over 425 000 evaluations from their well-travelled readers. This makes these awards the most comprehensive and definitive guide to the very best in international travel. Readers were asked to rate their recent experiences at hotels, cities, cruises, airlines and car-rental agencies. Singita Private Game Reserve scored 95.85% as the best hotel in the world.

The two award winning lodges at Singita Private Game Reserve - Boulders and Ebony - are situated in a wildlife sanctuary adjacent to the Kruger National Park.

Singita also has two exclusive game lodges at Singita Lebombo, a private concession on the remote eastern boundary of Kruger National Park. Singita Lebombo won the leading UK Tatler Travel Awards 2004 as Hotel of the Year. For more information on Singita, visit their web site at www.singita.com.
