Caxton Magazines refocusses its business

Caxton Magazines recently announced its decision to refocus their sales division to allow for better sales solutions for clients and the magazines.

The new structure will consist of the addition of two new below-the-line divisions within the company, Innovate Media and Solutions Media. The company's national above-the-line teams will remain at a corporate level and will represent both the new divisions to all agencies, this means in effect that agencies and their clients will not be affected.

Innovate Media will represent SA Country Life, Farmer's Weekly, Joy!, People, Style and Vrouekeur. Solutions Media will represent Bona, Essentials, Food & Home Entertaining, SA Garden & Home, Living & Loving, Pace, Rooi Rose and Your Family.

The new divisions sprang from the need for a completely different approach to securing advertising revenue between the different titles. Titles like People, Joy!, Farmer's Weekly are fringe advertising buys. Caxton Magazines identified that clients were looking for alternative, innovative advertising solutions on these titles and this is where Innovate Media comes in. With its specialised team in place responsible for creating alternative partnerships with clients instead of standard below-the-line executions. The focus will be on sponsorship deals, editorially driven advertising, innovative combinations between standard advertising and editorial options as well as reader events.

The Solutions Media team will continue to focus on building advertising support for the more mainstream titles that it represents.

In keeping with Caxton Magazines promise of advancing magazine solutions Caxton Magazines are investigating the possibility of adding new titles to both divisions in the upcoming months.
