No more True Love for Mahlaba

True Love editor Busi Mahlaba has accepted a promotion to join the publishing team of Media24 Women's Magazines as market development executive, effective from 1 August 2007, Media24 announced yesterday, Tuesday, 17 July.

Media24 Women's Magazines publisher Marí Lategan says that a new editor for True Love South Africa has not yet been identified and the search will commence within this week.

Lategan says that as editor of True Love South Africa, Mahlaba has demonstrated her ability to communicate the needs, wants and aspirations of the black women's market and have done so “quite effectively to advertising clients and other commercial stakeholders.”

She continues: “Her understanding of clients' needs and her background in research assisted greatly in this regard. We decided to tap into this specific skill even further to benefit the whole of Media24 Women's Magazines division. She will be working closely with the publisher and publishing team in a strategic capacity.”

Comments Mahlaba, “I am delighted to accept this new position as the last couple of years have introduced me to a dynamic industry for which I have an endless amount of passion. This new position will allow me to apply the knowledge that I've gained over time and I am inspired to make a tangible, positive difference.”

Media24 Women's Magazines publishes Sarie, Fairlady, True Love, True Love, Babe, Femina, In Style, Psychologies, Lééf met Hart & Siel, Sarie Bruid, Fairlady Bride and True Love Bride.
