The Hello Johannesburg magazine has been relaunched, together with new website and mobile app, GoHello.
"The magazine has undergone a complete cover-to-cover facelift both from an editorial and design perspective, without losing its distinctive features, such as the useful directory and the iconic 'Hello' logo. Editorial is original and first-hand, including more interviews and Q&As appealing to both tourists and local Joburgers. The redesign is carefully understood editorial design, encouraging readers to turn pages," says Group editor Alexia Leitich.
A nominee in the annual MTN App Of The Year Awards 2014, the GoHello application is the newest member of the one stop Jozi guide; Hello Joburg Magazine, Cape Town and Durban.
Son of the founder and today's MD Justyn Spinner says that Affinion Mobile Solutions, a company based in Bryanston, designed GoHello. The app is live on the app stores and the reception to it has been good. "People are looking for bite sizes of information about their city, fast - and at any given time. The reason why we launched the app is that we know the value of mobile technology and the value this technology adds to people's lives, giving them access to information on the move. GoHello gives us the ability to share our content with people wherever they are."
The brand also boasts a social media following on both Facebook and Twitter. Bianca Maletsky, social media manager, says the daily engagement on their platforms is overwhelming. "People want to share their feelings, thoughts and ideas about Johannesburg all the time."
