Pacmar joins Africa's Big Seven

Pacmar, a packaging company, has signed up for Africa's Big Seven (AB7) taking place at Gallagher Convention Centre, Midrand from 25-27 July 2010. A first-time exhibitor, the company aims to access foreign markets.

Pacmar is one of today's major players in the packaging, fruit juice and flavour industries with a local and international client base. “We would like to increase our African footprint and AB7 would be the perfect platform to explore these opportunities,” says Lize van Jaarsveld, Pacmar's accounts manager.

The company produces a fruit juice made from 100% pressed and squeezed fruit that contains no preservatives or additives. “Our product is made more appealing by its environmentally sound packaging which can be transported at either ambient or room temperatures, so energy is saved during distribution. The packages are lightweight and can be packed like building blocks, thus saving space and reducing fuel emissions,” adds van Jaarsveld. This efficient packaging has allowed the company to increase its exports.
