Shout campaign gets Pick n Pay donation

Since its launch six months ago, Shout has already contributed funding towards a non-profit organisation, which runs various projects around child victims of crime. The Foundation has also donated navigational devices for police vehicles in KZN and the Western Cape, in an effort to ensure the police's response times to emergencies are improved.

Group marketing general manager of Pick 'n Pay, Malcolm Mycroft said, "In the group, one of our abiding values is that doing good is good business - and what better good could we do than helping to fight the pandemic of crime that affects every South African."

In addition to the donation, the group has released 150 000 units of the Shout CD single in its retail outlets, priced at R20, of which 100% of the proceeds will go to the Shout Foundation.

"We hope that this donation serves as an encouragement and a motivation to corporate South Africa to join the fight against crime," stated the Shout board of trustees.
