Design competition, part of mall re-launch
The Scottsville Mall in Pietermaritzburg is holding a statue design competition, as part of its re-launch of the mall. In the tradition of form follows function, the completed statue must not only offer aesthetic appeal, but also needs to double up as a children's jungle gym and play area.
The statue will be constructed from concrete and entrants must consider this when submitting working drawing of their statue designs, which must be submitted by Monday 23 April 2012. The winner will be announced on 26 April.
