New range of tea is 'blended for you'
First of the Twinings well-being range is ‘Blended as a Digestif', an infusion that includes fennel seeds and peppermint, both of which are traditionally popular digestive assistants.
Second in the new range is ‘Blended to Revitalise,' and it is made from herbal ingredients such as ginger, which is said to have reviving properties; rooibos, which is a natural source of antioxidants; and mate, pronounced ma-tay, which is widely used in South America as a caffeine-free alternative to coffee.
Finally, there is ‘Blended for Tranquillity,' - a combination of camomile, which is widely claimed to have relaxing properties, and linden, which is also believed to have a calming effect.
All three of the new infusions contain no added sugar, sweeteners or flavourings; and the blends are not measured for calories because the count is so small.
Twinings infusions are all naturally caffeine free, and the well-being range contains virtually no carbohydrates at all. Furthermore, all Twinings teas, herbal infusions and flavoured fruit infusions are gluten free. Nor do they contain genetically modified raw materials or ingredients derived from genetically modified raw materials. Some are not suitable for use during pregnancy.
The range is being introduced to South Africa by Stafford Bros & Draeger, and will be on the shelves of selected stores soon.
