New limited edition release from Rickety Bridge
Rickety Bridge has launched its first icon wine, The Bridge 2008, named after the original 'rickety bridge' from which the estate took its name. A Cabernet Sauvignon, it was judged to be one of the Top 100 wines in the inaugural Top 100 SA Wines competition. With the vineyard being inaccessible by vehicle, all of the eight barrels were hand-made from start to finish.
Winemaker, Wynand Grobler, states the wine will reach its peak between seven and twelve years from vintage, but has the ability to age for a further three to five years. The limited-edition wine will only be sold off the estate at R395 per bottle and at select exclusive restaurants.
