The survey was carried out by Panel Services Africa on their premium online research panel, TellUsAboutIt, comprising 40,000 registered online users.
Who better to ask then, to glean insights into the local online population?
There has been a lot in the news lately about companies either not paying for internships or ones that offer just R30 per day. We found out whether the average South African feels internships a good idea - both for the businesses offering them and those seeking employment.
Overall the response was 'yes', with respondents stating that while internships are a good way for the unemployed to get into the job market, they should at least offer a small minimum wage.
