    PEP rises to the Challenge

    PEP is now a proud sponsor of the Vodacom Challenge.

    According to marketing director Marcus Banga, the company has decided to support soccer because “The vast majority of our customers enjoy the game of soccer and we would like to make it possible for them to go to the stadiums and watch the games live. Our sponsorship has helped to reduce the prices of tickets significantly.”

    It is the first time in its 41-year history that the company is sponsoring the game.  “We see this sponsorship as an extension of our customer service, giving back to the community, and our way of participating in the sport that most of our customers enjoy,” said Banga.

    Three teams will take part in the Challenge: Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs and Tottenham Hotspurs will play against each other. The match schedule is:

    * 21 July 2007      
    Tottenham Hotspurs vs Kaizer Chiefs          
    Absa Park, Durban

    * 24 July 2007      
    Tottenham Hotspurs vs Orlando Pirates
    Newlands Stadium, Cape Town

    * 26 July 2007           
    Orlando Pirates vs Kaizer Chiefs          
    Eastern Province Rugby Football Union Stadium, Port Elizabeth

    * 28 July 2007      
    Winner play-off:  SA team winner of 26 July vs Tottenham Hotspurs game
    Loftus, Pretoria
