Two new smartphones from Sony Mobile
The Xperia C 5" dual-SIM smartphone is the latest model in the range of premium smartphones, offering entertainment that features the company's digital imaging expertise and enhancement technology.
"In many emerging markets, including South Africa, the mobile phone is the primary computing platform and internet access device," says Mark Fenzel, sales director for Sony Mobile Communications in South Africa. "This model brings a large screen, high powered device at an affordable price to satisfy demand in this portion of the market."
It will be available in black, white and purple and retail at under R3000.
The new Xperia Z Ultra is waterproof, ultra-slim with a lightweight design and is the first smartphone to incorporate a full HD Triluminos display for mobile, powered by the company's latest X-Reality. It will also feature the fully integrated Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 2.2 GHz quad-core CPUs, 4GLTE and HD voice to provide a seamless connected entertainment experience, industry-leading battery performance and amazing speed.
"The model is an exciting revolution in large-screen smartphone entertainment devices with both the slimmest and largest full HD smartphone display," said Calum MacDougall, director of Xperia Marketing at Sony Mobile Communications. "We're already bringing the best of Sony technology and design across a range of premium smartphones and tablets, and now we are bringing this same premium offering to the large-screen smartphone segment, setting a new standard for others to follow."
It is an ideal business partner thanks to the responsive screen with handwriting recognition, which is compatible with any pencil and selected stylus or pen (capacitive stylus or metal pen with tip diameter over 1mm). One can even write notes or sketches during calls, so one is always ready to capture ideas as they happen. The easy-toggle keyboard makes it ideal for one-handed input and multi-tasking, with small apps to help improve productivity, so one does not lose time browsing between windows.
